This makes my blood boil - when you steal a tradies car and tools you steal their livelihood
A tradie will think twice about leaving his muddy work pants in an unlocked van again after the vehicle was stolen from a housing estate in Melbourne's west.
Werribee police say the man left his pants, with the keys in the pockets, in the passenger seat with the door open and the van was stolen from outside the house he was working on.
He wasn't the only victim, as thieves also targeted other cars within the Tarneit estate, stealing iPads and wallets last week.

Tradie Vans are targeted as not only do they usually have expensive tools in them the vans can be used in burglaries after they have been emptied out. After all who looks at a plain White Traides Van twice when it drives down a street or parks in someone's Drive Way. This enables Crooks to case out houses and come back when they are empty, load up the Vans with Electronic Goods and then leave with almost no one taking any notice of them.

Yep to all of the above AND you have t be super careful after the insurance has paid out because they like to come back and get all the new stuff!! That is true about homes as well, if someone steals your Big Screen TV and Surround Sound System they sometimes come back a few weeks later to steal the replacements as well.
