We lost a great actor and humanitarian last week in the sad passing of Paul Newman-I loved this guys work. He put everything into the roles he played. The first time I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid I was blown away. The humor between Paul and Robert Redford was great. Those two were just fantastic in that movie and Paul was the same in all the roles he played. When he first played Fast Eddie in the original Hustler he had me from the first scene. He was so convincing as a pool hustler and to go up against a giant actor in Jackie Gleason must have been daunting for such a new young guy. He pulled it off with ease. Paul was a natural in HUD-" What we have here is a failure to communicate".-
Paul always supported good causes and donated to alot of groups to help kids. He built a center for kids to get them off the streets. He was a race car driver and thought Hollywood was too fake. He was a real person and a good guy and all these young rich movie stars should be like Paul. He will be missed. So long Butch- 1925-2008-
