Allow the president to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such a purpose - and you allow him to make war at pleasure. Author: Abraham Lincoln
When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty, and there is nothing more to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader. Author: Plato

The reality of it is that peace is not unilateral. If we put down our weapons, if our young men refuse to go to war, the bad guys in this world will not. My country is not the bad guy. Paul

However Paul we can refuse to attack countries that are defenseless and have not attacked us first.
WE can refuse to drop bombs on the heads of innocent people.
THat would be a start.

We have not ever attacked a country that did not attack a weaker country first. We have never attacked a defenseless country. We do not target innocent people. Our enemies hide amongst innocent people. Innocent people sometimes unfortunately get caught up in the crossfire. How many tens of millions of innocent people were killed by our enemies in the last century?
I wish it wasn't nessesary to carry a big stick. But I know our enemies do. Paul
