Good. I hate copperheads. Annie, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab 4WD LT1 Z71. Niiice!! Be sure to post pics of the new ride! Got it last night. Here's what it looks like. Except I don't have a step bar or a cover for the back.

That is a fine ride, for sure. My 'nuther buddy has one just like it, 'cept hers is an '07 model. Is yours an '08 or '07?

My dad just bought a full sized Chevy truck .
Mom and I both looked at him like he was nuts. They are selling them cheap right now he says. Sure they are nobody wants to put gas in them.
But cliff I will tell you the same thing I told my dad. Nice truck and no I don't want to buy your old one.
Dad and cliff may not mind those $80 bills to fill the tank. But I do.
Hubby made me sell my compact car years ago. I loved that old thing. Had 287,000 miles on it and still going strong when I sold it. Hubby didn't fit in it well. Now he says he will rip out the front passenger seat so he can fit in and I can get another gas saver.
Too late maybe. People are starting to treat their gas economic cars like gold.

Thanks. My old truck is a Ford 07 model we bought in 06 when they put them out early to compete with Dodge. It has 232,000 miles on it. Your Dad is right. Right now they are really giving some good deals.
It’s an 08. Anything that has a large cab, whether extended or quad, they are looking to get rid of. It’s the first Chevy I’ve owned that wasn’t old enough to buy beer. <grin>
Really, they are all a little different but they seem to do about the same thing. “I’m not loyal to any make.”
Except, I guess I’m getting old, the 4 wheel drive lever isn’t on the floor. It’s a knob like a radio knob and you can be driving at highway speed and put it into 4 wheel high without stopping or locking out the hubs! I was shocked.

It’s a knob like a radio knob and you can be driving at highway speed and put it into 4 wheel high without stopping or locking out the hubs! I was shocked. Don't do it. Both our trucks have that feature and we ALWAYS slow down to at least 15 mph or slower before engaging the FWD. A buddy of ours didn't, engaged the FWD at 55 mph and it stuck half way through and he had to have it towed off the side of the road. I personally would not own a Chevy but nice truck anyhow.

I'm still going to slow down if not stop and put it in neutral.
I may hate Chevy later on but right now it seems OK. But then it's hasn't even been 24 hours. <grin>

OK. All better! Here she is without a swollen face. She moves around so it's hard to get a good picture of her. <grin>
