My grandma use to make it all the time and as simple as it sounds,it was such a treat...I use to love to gather the snow when it would storm. She would always tell us to be careful and not to gather any yellow snow hahaha!
Here is a recipe for that:
How To Make Snow Ice Cream If it's snowing in your area, make good use of all that white stuff with this fun and easy recipe. Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes Here's How: 1. Mix all ingredients together and eat!
Tips: Experiment with other extracts like almond and mint. You can also try orange, lime or lemon extracts for a "sherbert" dessert. To make ice cream even creamier add 1/2 of a mashed banana.
What You Need: 1 cup Half & Half 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract dash of salt 5 cups of fresh, clean snow

No no snow to make that one in South Australia - I'll keep it in mind if I ever go to the snowfields in Victoria!
But you used to be able to buy special cups to make something like snow in the freezer - mind you I never had one of those either!

Snow Ice Cream is fantastic if fixed correctly. Never make it from the first snows of the year and never fix it out of 'Yellow' snow. I've had it many times and after reading this, I may have to fix some Friday as we aresuppose to get about 6 inches of snow! Thanks, Misti

Well... unless we go to our snow fields... most Aussies will never taste this treat.
