4 large eggs 1 cup milk 1 cup packet pastry mix OR 1 cup plain flour and 1 Tbls. oil 1 cup grated tasty cheese 1/2 onion, finely chopped 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped 1 small hot dried chilli finely chopped 1 cup of chopped bacon or shredded ham Generous sprinkle of white pepper. 1 fresh tomato
Options:
200 gms (7 oz.) drained tinned salmon tuna chopped cooked chicken corn kernels canned asparagus 1 sliced tomato, parsley (if wished)
Method Mix eggs, cheese, milk and flour in a bowl, then beat for a couple of minutes.
Gently saute bacon, onion, garlic, bacon, chilli and pepper until cooked and then place into mixture.
Add chosen ingredients from list.
If using asparagus, reserve a couple of spears to lay along top of dish.
Pour into a greased pie dish and decorate with tomato slices or chopped parsley.
Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
Bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes until puffed and brown.

This is a really great recipe - also called Impossible Pie. I've made it quite a bit. The wonderful thing about it is you think it's really low calorie because there is no "obvious" pastry to eat.

Well my sweet. This goes into the category of, 'Woman Food' for me, along with Tuna and Pasta, but I must confess I quite enjoyed it.
I must publish the Pasta I made for her (meaning she who must be obeyed) last week... damn... even I enjoyed that one.
Won me some brownie points as well.
