Son's favorite cake in the world!!!
SNICKERS CAKE1 Devil's food cake mix OR one fudge chocolate cake, made from scratch (I have a recipe for that, too, if wanted)
1 LARGE tub of Frozen Whipped Topping, left out to thaw and then refrigerated to keep cool
2 small jars of Caramel Ice Cream topping
Chocolate sauce (I like Hershey's)
A handful of chopped nuts (your choice, I used pecans)
1 wooden spoon [with rounded handle]
DIRECTIONS:
Mix up cake and scrape into large rectangular dish (see-through is best) after spraying it with butter spray. Bake at 350° until done in center.
Remove from oven and set out to cool. Immediately poke holes in cake ALL OVER THE CAKE using the rounded handle of the spoon, held upside-down.
Let cool until the
bottom of the cake is no longer warm. IT MUST BE COMPLETELY COOLED. (but not in the fridge)
Take out whipped topping and stir until smooth, set aside. Pour BOTH jars of caramel topping over cake and into holes, making sure it drains down every side of the cake as well, reserving a couple of Tablespoonsful for the top of the cake.
Cover entire cake with whipped topping, and drizzle with both caramel and chocolate sauces, then sprinkle on nuts to your satisfaction.
VOILA!
(Refrigerate whatever is left over....)
