5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
1 Coffee Mug 4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising) 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons baking cocoa 1 egg 3 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to share!)
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I tried this because it made me so hungry for chocolate cake. Well I had a mess! Of course I'm not a baker what so ever. It sure smelled good though! I am going to try it again though I can't let this defeat me! Wish me luck! ;D

What happened Mac ?
I'd start with a very large mug to get a idea of how full the mix would make the mug when it's cooked. Do you have a soup mug? Try that. Or a two cup measuring cup.

I dunno Nancy what happen. It all just flowed over the sides of the coffee mug. I thought I had a big enough mug. I did googled "mug cake" and saw that a mug that holds 1 1/2 cups would be big enough. So I'll hunt for a mug that size. I know I have one somewhere, unless I freecycled it. Anyway, I'm gonna try this again. Anyone else try this yet?

I think that's how it should be especially seeing its made with plain flour and not self raising flour. We will have to hold Tellingbird accountable for this one!! BTW I'm on a diet, absolutely no chocolate for a couple of weeks -I put on around 6 pounds whilst in the USA (not as much as I thought). I am blaming Kim for that 6 pounds!!

Ladies if you want to lose those few extra pounds................Do Belly Dancing! You will be amazed at how fast the extra pounds will melt away! Just since Sept 30th , when My Belly Dancing class started up again, I have lost 15 lbs!(In 25 days) Now I belly dance everyday, not just Tuesday nights. I belly dance while doing my dishes, while standing at the cook top, just anytime I can "Shimmy". While I'm driving, I do my shoulder shimmies. You can buy a DVD or video of Belly Dancing, and learn Belly Dancing! I think we need a belly dancing smiley!
