Does anyone have any tried and tested recipes for the crock pot. I would prefer ones that dont have yucky stuff like vegetables in them. I dont mind onions, red peppers and tomatoes. Im looking for recipe's where I can throw everything in the crockpot and go to work. I love coming home, walking in the house and smelling my dinner all cooked and ready to be eaten.
I would also love a sweet chicken curry recipe for the crockpot. Preferable one without mango chutney as here in the States most of them dont know what it is and the specialty store wants 7 bux for a small jar

I adapted Orange Curried Chicken to cook in the crockpot. This delicious recipe, using orange juice, bell peppers, onion, and curry powder, is a fabulous dish for company.

1 onion, chopped 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces 1 clove garlic, minced 1 cup orange juice 1/4 cup water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. curry powder 3/4 cup whipping cream 3 Tbsp. cornstarch Hot cooked rice Chutney More curry powder Cashew pieces
PREPARATION:
In 3-4 quart crockpot, combine onion, peppers, chicken, garlic, orange juice, water, salt, and curry powder and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours until chicken is thoroughly cooked. In small bowl, combine whipping cream and cornstarch and blend with wire whisk.
Stir into crockpot, turn heat to high, and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring once, until sauce thickens. Serve over hot cooked rice with chutney, more curry powder, and condiments. Serves 4-6 Suggested Reading Skillet Meals

Crockpot Chicken and Apples From Linda Larsen,
Try this easy and delicious low fat, low sodium recipe for chicken, cooked in the crockpot. INGREDIENTS:
6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram leaves 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 onion, chopped 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts 3 Grany smith apples, cored and sliced 1/4 cup water 2 Tbsp. cornstarch PREPARATION:
In small bowl, combine thawed orange juice concentrate (do not use regular orange juice!), marjoram, and nutmeg. Place onions and garlic in bottom of 3-4 quart slow cooker. Dip each chicken breast into the orange mixture to coat and place in crockpot over onions.
Pour any remaining orange juice mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours until chicken is almost cooked. Add apples and cook one hour longer on low until apples are tender and chicken is thoroughly cooked. Mix together water and cornstarch in a small bowl and stir into the juices in saucepan. Cover and cook on high heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce is thick and bubbly, 20-30 minutes. Serve the sauce over the chicken and apples. Makes 6 servings

Super nice Crockpot Orange Curried Chicken recipe! I will try this at home soon. Recently I tried seafood recipes that I got at Nom Foodie App. They turned out great for my birthday bash. I would like to share my own recipes too on this app.
