Cool chips my daughter and one of my sons are talking about coming for a visit tomorrow.
I may try your recipe on them.
On a sadder note they are coming for what appears will be their last visit with our fat buddy. My 14 year old golden retriever who appears to be leaving us with great grace and dignity. And a lot less fat by the way.

Yes it does . I've put it in my favorites. Shame on you for not inviting me before. I know some others that will love that forum I will pass it on. Just yesterday my old fellow is doing a bit better . He ate 1/2 of my ham sandwich and drank some water. He may have a few months left in him yet. One never knows. Still I will let the kids come see him if they want. I know that will lift his spirits. They were teens when our fat buddy came into our lives. And even though soon we won't be able to scratch his soft ears anymore............. in our lives he'll always be. A look through the videos and pictures of nearly all our family collections will show. Because there is chance, the best dog in the world according to his fans. There is chance covered in Christmas wrapping paper. Only visible for the moment because you can see the paper moving with a large lump under it. There is chance snuggled in bed with one of his boys. There is chance, trying to remind sissy that even though she has some upstart dog that lives at her house, she shouldn't forget her old buddy. My children are adults now. Hard to believe but my daughter will be 30 next month chips and chance has been there to help them and watch over them from their teen years and he's still here loving them as adults. Thats a whole lot of Love for one old dog to have given this world. Chance can take his leave and know he has left the world a much better place for his presence. He will be missed though. My days won't seem as bright , no doubt about that. As chance fell to me when the kids went out on their own. They used to ask for him to come stay with them. Which he was happy to do for a day or two. But he made himself clear.................... I like you kid, But I think I should go home to mom's house. So home chance has been. Its been a chore to load him and take him for visits to their homes recently , and he shows less tolerance for being away from home lately. Always glad to see the kids. But the last time I left him in two days my daughter calls and said mom you have to come back Chance is not happy with you gone. The old fellow can make his wishes known and his wishes are to be home with me and to have the kids come see him and love a old dog.

Anyone can own a dog, only the dog will choose its master/mistress.
