'Instead of shaming girls for their bodies, teach boys that girls are not sexual objects': Girl humiliated in class for wearing short shorts prints poster and sticks it up all over school
Lindsey Stocker, a grade 11 student at a Montreal high school, was singled out for wearing shorts on May 21
In front of her class, she was told they were too short and that she would have to change or face suspension
Stocker instead printed posters that read, 'Don't humiliate her because she's wearing shorts. It's hot outside.
Instead of shaming girls for their bodies, teach boys that girls are not sexual objects
Stocker says she's concerned by rules that focus on girls' bodies rather than boys' behavior.
Other girls from her school are wearing shorts in solidarity

I really like the idea of kids from kindergarten right up to their last year in high school wearing school uniforms. It would solve a lot of problems IMHO. Here is just an example for girls: The skirt length would have to be set and strictly enforced. In the above example, leggings would have to be worn in cooler weather. There are so many styles to choose from.

yeah I'm in favour of uniforms but within that let the student choose from a range so that girls can wear pants / trousers whatever if they prefer (and boys skirts for that matter - there'll always be one!)

Yep, I guess that could be an option in letting a girl choose between one day wearing a skirt or a pair of approved pants. But it would be either A or B. A particular top with the skirt and the same with the pant option. No mixing or matching as it were... otherwise the whole idea of uniforms is a waste of time.

I think it's like a woman going out in public topless and then screaming "stop staring at my breasts" when a man looks at her. Paul
