2 cups of self rising cornmeal 3 eggs 1 onion chopped 3/4 cup of cooking oil 4 or 5 diced jalapeno peppers,...i use the ones in a jar
1 large pkg of shredded cheese or a cup of cut up velveta 1 large can of cream style corn buttermilk to consistency you want...pour into a greased 9 by 11 pan or two large iron skillets...cook on 425 until bread is light brown. it will be soft in the middle but not runny. great with red beans and rice...soup.... or just by itself.
