New Competition
The Photographic competition for October will be open for entries from Saturday 10th October and the theme chosen by Willow will be 'Reflections.'
Initially I thought that may be hard on some of us but when I thought about it I got quite excited that this will test our ingenuity - so don't panic. Listed below is the meanings of 'Reflections' which will guide you to what you can use for subjects.
Reflection 1 Definition: The act of reflecting, or turning or sending back, or the state of being reflected.
Reflection 2 Definition: The return of rays, beams, sound, or the like, from a surface. See Angle of reflection, below.
Reflection 3 Definition: The reverting of the mind to that which has already occupied it; continued consideration; meditation; contemplation; hence, also, that operation or power of the mind by which it is conscious of its own acts or states; the capacity for judging rationally, especially in view of a moral rule or standard.
Reflection 4 Definition: Shining; brightness, as of the sun.
Reflection 5 Definition: That which is produced by reflection.
Reflection 6 Definition: An image given back from a reflecting surface; a reflected counterpart.
Reflection 7 Definition: A part reflected, or turned back, at an angle; as, the reflection of a membrane.
Reflection 8 Definition: Result of meditation; thought or opinion after attentive consideration or contemplation; especially, thoughts suggested by truth.
Reflection 9 Definition: Censure; reproach cast.
Reflection 10 Definition: The transference of an excitement from one nerve fiber to another by means of the nerve cells, as in reflex action. See Reflex action, under Reflex.
reflection 11 Definition: the image of something as reflected by a mirror (or other reflective material); "he studied his reflection in the mirror"
reflection 12 Definition: a likeness in which left and right are reversed
reflection 13 Definition: the ability to reflect beams or rays
reflection 14 Definition: a calm lengthy intent consideration
reflection 15 Definition: a remark expressing careful consideration
reflection 16 Definition: expression without words; "tears are an expression of grief"; "the pulse is a reflection of the heart''s condition"
reflection 17 Definition: the phenomenon of a propagating wave (light or sound) being thrown back from a surface
reflection 18 Definition: (mathematics) a transformation in which the direction of one axis is reversed
Three entries per person posted in this thread please.
So 'Happy Snapping' everyone.

I liked all of them Kim! I was going to go for kitchen life because I like anything to do with canning, gardening, and old timey egg beaters. but I went with the Vietnam wall memorial, because Terry was a Vietnam vet. We wanted to take a trip to see it one day. He lost a lot of buddies over their and wanted to see if he could find their names. It is truely a picture to reflect upon.

That's the one I cast MY vote for too... for the same reasons... so many memories, from so many peoples.
